Red radicchio (Cichorium intybus) is a traditional variety of chicory grown in Veneto and is very rich in minerals, especially potassium, but also magnesium, phosphorus, calcium, zinc, sodium, copper, iron and manganese. It also contains B vitamins, vitamin C, vitamin E and vitamin K. Red radicchio has been on our tables and has been used for its beneficial and curative properties for centuries: its leaves contain important nutrients that help our body stay healthy. Like all the plants of this color, it is rich in antioxidants, especially anthocyanins, which together with the bitter principles help digestion and proper bowel function.
